If you’re looking for someone to support you to reach your running goals, I highly recommend Aindriu.

I came to Aindriu for a training plan when I signed up for an 8k that was going to take place 6 months after the birth of my second child. I badly needed help to reach this goal, it had been 3 years since I had last run.

Aindriu is a fantastic runner and has a great reputation with established runners, so I was nervous coming to him at first. I was never an established runner to begin with and my longest run to date was 5k so I was worried Aindriu’s approach might be too advanced for me.

Thankfully, there was no need for me to worry. Aindriu couldn’t have been more adaptable. His first step was to figure out what I was currently capable of and then he went about designing a training plan that was really doable for a busy mum of two under 2. I started the plan 6 weeks postpartum and it eased me into running again very slowly. The best thing about Aindriu’s training plan was that I never had sore legs after running, and the plan was so gradual that it made it seem so easy.

When things weren’t going to plan Aindriu was there to answer questions and offer advice. When I had set backs he helped me get back on track. He never doubted that I could do this and that was a great source of motivation for me. He believed in me when I doubted myself.

Initially my goal was just to run the 8k without stopping, but with Aindriu’s help I realised that I could aim a little higher and I changed my goal to running the 8k without stopping in less than one hour. To my surprise, I surpassed that goal. I did the 8k yesterday and I finished almost 7 minutes under my expected finish time. I’ve already signed up for another 8k and I’ve gone back to Aindriu to get another plan to help me reach my new goal which is to beat my time from yesterday.
